Thomas Chisari, IDSA, joined The Carlson Group, Inc. as Design Director in July 2004. Thomas brings 14 years of practical design experience to the retail display industry following a position of Principal Designer from his last assignment.
Tom has designed retail fixturing and P-O-P solutions for numerous categories and products including athletics and fashion footwear, apparel and accessories, and sporting goods and equipment. He also has extensive experience in retail interior design, brand design, and engineering.
A graduate from The University of Illinois at Chicago, he received his degree in Industrial Design and also attended L'Universita Di Genova in Italy for a foreign study program focusing on furniture and transportation design. A few years after graduating, Tom attended Archeworks, an alternative architecture and design laboratory dedicated to addressing social needs, co-founded by architect Stanley Tigerman. Thomas was also an adjunct professor of design at Columbia College in Chicago teaching 3D computer aided design.
When not working, Chisari enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, exploring the city and its culture.
